Juan Carlos Ovies is one of the nation’s leading immigration litigators and is praised by his clients and opponents as a tenacious litigator with a laser focus on achieving his client’s goals. Juan Carlos first developed his litigation skills while working as a criminal prosecutor for the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico. He then honed and mastered those skills while serving in a prestigious role as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the criminal division of the Puerto Rico District working on high profile criminal prosecutions.
In 2015, Juan found his true passion – immigration law. Since that time, Juan Carlos has focused his practice exclusively on immigration law, representing individuals in various immigration courts across the United States and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. His practice centers on advocating for those seeking asylum and other forms of relief in the United States. With his wealth of experience and his ability to deal with esoteric issues, Juan Carlos excels at helping his clients navigate the legal system.
Juan Carlos lives in Northern Virginia and is a dedicated father to his son. When he isn’t representing immigrants, he enjoys travel and foodie experiences.
